The firm congratulates Robert Burtker and Rachel Stern on winning a directed verdict just prior to closing arguments in a medical malpractice case involving the death of a 32 year old patient.  

The trial court granted the directed verdict at the close of all evidence, and just prior to the commencement of closing arguments. 

Mr. Burtker and Ms. Stern successfully argued that the essential evidence of proximate cause was absent in the plaintiff’s case against its hospital client.
