Shivani A. Thakker
Shivani A. Thakker is an Associate Attorney at Brennan Burtker LLC where she concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense.
Ms. Thakker graduated as a Dean’s Scholar from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was both the Symposium Editor and Technical Productions Editor for Annals of Health Law & Life Sciences and was published. She was a member of the prestigious Corboy Fellows Mock Trial program.
Ms. Thakker was admitted to the Illinois Bar after receiving her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2023. She earned a B.A. in Physiology with minors in Neuroscience and Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2017. She earned her Master in Public Health in Public Health Administration and Policy also from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2019. Ms. Thakker is an active member of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA), the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society (CHRMS), is a member of the DEI committee for the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys (IAHA), and is the Vice-Chair of the Health Law Committee for the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association.
