Brennan Burtker LLC Wins Summary Judgment On Apparent Agency

The firm congratulates Joe Camarra, Anthony Longo, and Blair Kipnis for winning a critical summary judgment in the Circuit Court of Cook County recently. Plaintiff alleged that the firm’s client was vicariously liable for the acts and omissions of its co-defendant Medical Director which allegedly caused the patient’s death by exsanguination.

A motion for summary judgment was filed arguing there was no vicarious liability either through the doctrine of actual or apparent agency. The Circuit Court of Cook County agreed, and granted the motion.
