Brennan Burtker Wins Another Not Guilty Verdict in Joseph Camarra’s Final Trial

Brennan Burtker is very proud to announce the defense verdict obtained by Joseph A. Camarra, Of Counsel at Brennan Burtker, in a medical negligence trial before Judge Thomas V. Lyons II. In this case, the plaintiff alleged that our client, an anesthesiologist, hyperextended her neck during intubation causing neurological deficits following surgery. The Defense argued plaintiff had pre-existing asymptomatic cervical stenosis, which was aggravated by normal manipulation of plaintiff’s neck during intubation consistent with the standard of care. Plaintiff asked the jury to award a verdict in excess of $1.4 million. We commend all members of this trial team who contributed to the hard work and preparation involved in achieving this victorious result.

This tremendous victory not only adds another defense verdict to the firm’s impressive trial record but also marks the final trial of Mr. Camarra’s distinguished and accomplished career.  Mr. Camarra has dedicated over 50 years to serving his clients as a trial lawyer.  His experience, mentorship, and expertise have been an important component of the success of our firm since its founding in 2015. Brennan Burtker celebrates this victory, along with the outstanding trial career of Joseph Camarra as a truly special occasion for our firm.
